Driving Inclusive AfCFTA Implementation: trapca Launch Webinar Series on AfCFTA readiness series to assess and empower women, youth, and CSOs to leverage and advocate for intra-Africa trade

On Friday, April 11th, trapca and the ACBF successfully launched a webinar series focused on AfCFTA readiness in Southern Africa. The inaugural session, aimed at identifying opportunities and challenges for women, youth, and the private sector, and strengthening CSO advocacy, was a success thanks to the valuable insights of all participants. Dr. Kalaba (ESAMI) and Mr. Mashingaidze (ACBF) highlighted the importance of this collaboration in unlocking the AfCFTA’s potential. The webinar presented findings on AfCFTA readiness, analyzing opportunities and hurdles for women and youth and the private sector, identifying engagement strategies, and addressing CSO advocacy capacity. Discussions covered barriers to SME participation especially those that affect women and youth and the crucial roles of CSOs and the private sector. Stay tuned for more webinars in this series! A big thank you to all panelists, guests, participants, and the ACBF. Together, we’re committed to an inclusive and prosperous Africa through the AfCFTA.
