ESAMI-trapca takes pride in Alumni under our MSc Trade Policy and Trade Law, as they are at the center stage of the national, regional, continental and multilateral trade agenda facilitating countries to harness opportunities from #internationaltrade arrangements. Empowered with #trade expertise, competence, and determination, our alumni are making trade part of the solution by shaping regional, continental and Multilateral outcomes.
In our feature today is Gilbert Alexander Waigama, our 2020 alumnus, currently a Trade Policy Officer at the Tanzania Trade Development Authority.
This is what Gilbert had to say.
“I am forever grateful to have been accorded an opportunity to study at ESAMI-trapca. A Centre of Excellency where I met fellow Africans with strong determination of making Africa realise its full potential through TRADE. Indeed, the manner in which the program is designed, inspiring facilitators obtained from all parts of the world and global guru on the research subject supervisors gave me a strong foundation in addressing trade and trade related issues.
Post-graduation I shifted to the Trade Policy Section where I resourcefully take part in forging Tanzania trade agenda in bilateral, regional and multilateral setting. I am looking forward to making my country a key player in realization of Africa Agenda 2063 through Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).”
