Kiuluku  Peter

Executive Director

Peter Kiuluku has been an International Business Consultant with specialist skills in Corporate Strategy and Marketing. He previously managed the Global Leadership and Management Sustainability Programme and was Manager for Marketing and Business Development at ESAMI. He holds a MBA in Strategic Management from ESAMI and an MPhil from Maastricht School of Management.

Mpafya Mutapa (AZICA, ACMA, CGMA).

Principal Finance and Administration Officer:  Mr. Mutapa oversees the financial and administration functions of trapca. He is a Chartered Management Accountant with vast experience in finance and accounting. Holding an MBA from Ulyanovsk State University, Bachelor Degree In Accounts (Athlone Institute of Technology Ireland), ACMA (Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), CGMA (Chartered Global Management Accountants), and a member of ZICA (Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants). He has over 10 years experience in finance and management accounting and also commands strong management skills. Prior to joining trapca, Mr. Mutapa held positions at National AIDS Council and Zambian Breweries Plc. a subsidiary of SABMiller’.

Caiphas Chekwoti, Ph.D

Trade Policy Expert: Dr. Chekwoti heads the academic department at trapca, ESAMI. He holds a doctorate degree in economics from the University of Dar es Salaam. He has over 25 years’ experience in training at University level and has been involved in international trade policy training for over 10 years. Before joining trapca, he was previously a lecturer of Economics at Makerere University, Uganda. Prior to teaching, he was an economist in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Uganda. He has been involved in various researches and consultancies on trade policy as well as development issues. His research interests include trade reforms, trade in services and firm competitiveness.

Tsotetsi Makong, LLM, MSc

Trade Facilitation Expert: MR. Makong holds an LLM in Technology and Intellectual Property Law from University of Liverpool and Msc in International Trade Policy and Trade Law from Lund University. He previously served as a diplomat and a trade negotiator in Geneva, on behalf of the Kingdom of Lesotho. Makong covered work under organizations such as WTO, UNCTAD, ITC, ITU and WIPO in various capacities such as chairing WTO committees, UNCTAD based G 77 and China (Geneva chapter), the WTO based African Group and technical focal point of WTO based LDCs and ACP groups. He also served in various coalition groups committees. Prior to working in Geneva he covered multiple regional trade negotiations including those under the remit of SACU, SADC, SADC-EPAs and AU. He dealt with bilateral relations between Lesotho and Swiss Confederation particularly on economic matters. He is currently providing technical support to the AU economic integration agenda including on the CFTA. Makong is also in the roster list of Arbitrators under SADC EPA and SACU MERCOSUR FTAs.”

Thokozani James Ngwira

Trade Law Expert: Mr. Ngwira holds an LLM, International Law from the University of London (University College London). He works as a Trade Law Expert and has vast teaching experience in the following areas: International Trade Law, Investment Law, Intellectual Property Law, International Environmental Law, Interpretation of Trade Agreements and International Commercial Law. In trapca, other than teaching he co-supervises the tripartite joint legal clinic involving Graduate Institute of Geneva, Georgetown University and trapca. He is also responsible for quality assurance in the trapca academic courses. Prior to joining trapca, he was a Lecturer in Law and Deputy Dean for the Faculty of Law at the University of Malawi as well as a Legal Practitioner called to Malawi’s Supreme Court, High Court and courts subordinate thereto.

Ms. Pauline Jane Khamis

Academic Support Clerk: Ms. Pauline is the academic support clerk at trapca. She holds Bachelor of Business Administration (Marketing) from Mount Meru University, Arusha, Tanzania and a Diploma in Marketing from the Sinon College Arusha, Tanzania. Prior to current position, she held position of Office Assistant at trapca.

Anne Raphael Mrosso

Office Assistant: Ms. Mrosso is an office assistant at trapca. She holds a Diploma in Business Administration from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Arusha, Tanzania. She also holds a Diploma in International Air Ticketing from Makair Travel Academy, Tanzania, an IATA accredited training and exam center dedicated to providing travel, leisure and management Knowledge/Education. Previous she worked at Precision Air Ltd as reservations officer and at World Vision as Data Entry.

Emil Athanase Karume

Driver/Clerk: Mr. Karume works at trapca as a Driver and Clerk. He holds an engineering and electrical  TRADE TEST,  from Kenya Railways Institutes and a certificate in PASTEL from Arion College, Tanzania.
