Broad context for negotiations: The nature and processes of GATT negotiations (rounds); legal framework of GATT/WTO negotiations and decision-making. Bilateral negotiations; General background on EPA and EPA negotiations; Participation in an EPA negotiation.
International trade leadership and management: the art of negotiating - technique and tactics; actors in trade diplomacy; sovereign states as negotiators; nongovernmental actors; leading a delegation; stress management.
This module will provide an in-depth analysis of a selection of current topical issues in trade policy or provide depth to items that have been introduced in other modules.
